Design and Manufacturing of a Custom Floating Desk in Mountain View

Mountain View Project Update – Custom Floating Desk & Shelves Homeowner Handy recently completed a second custom project for our designer client in Mountain View. This time, she wanted a matching floating desk and floating shelves created from recycled desktop materials—an eco-friendly and stylish way to enhance her workspace. We repurposed high-quality desktop surfaces, cut them to exact measurements, and crafted a clean floating desk along with three floating shelves. Each piece was securely mounted and finished to look seamless in the space. After installation, we painted the shelves to perfectly match her existing IKEA storage system, creating a cohesive and beautifully organized work area. The result is a functional, modern, and sustainable setup that ties the entire room together.
